Our 100th article
By Ocean on Sep 16, 2008 in Featured, Other
To commemorate our 100th article, we thought to take a moment to guide our readers who may not have been around since the beginning through our site, and reflect on what we’ve accomplished thus far.
As you may or may not know, Dumbagent.com officially launched on November 13th, 2007. Our layout was very different at first, and our content comprised entirely of posts and some market data. Soon after, we added a Resources section as they presented themselves, a Current Events section, and a section dedicated specially to Prediction Markets.
We also started to deliver content via Youtube, Del.icio.us, Digg.com, Technorati and Predictify. More recently, we added a twitter feed to showcase any special deals that we’ve come across and to publish our Predictify predictions. You can find our feed in the upper right hand corner of the home page.
In the human resources department, we gained Rebecca Gebhardt, who heads up our marketing, as well as Andy Liau as a contributing Author.
As mentioned previously, our site layout has also experienced much change. In addition to the Resources, Current Events, and Prediction Markets page, we also added an Archives section, an About Us section (which also contains an explanation of the Dumb Agent Theory that started it all), a section dedicated to our Original Theories and ideas, and a Store page that showcases our DA branded products made available through CafePress.
And, of course, we have continued to provide new and exciting theories and news regarding finance and economics, in whatever shape or form they may present themselves.
Here’s to 100 more, and beyond.

… and do add us to your networks in YouTube, Delicious, etc.

Congratulations on your 100th article. And on an increasingly interesting website. Thanks for what you do.
You may be interested that the cranky author of The Black Swan, Nicolas Taleb, has a new essay on the limits of “statistical probabilities” now appearing at The Edge. http://www.edge.org/3rd_culture/taleb08/taleb08_index.html
I don’t know what the probability is that he’s right, but he did predict the Fannie Mae fiasco.
Keep up the good work–
