Stuck on You

Now that you can choose the most eco-friendly car, find the cheapest gas in your neighborhood, and have methods of averaging out the price of gas, it turns out you also have one more thing to worry about during your daily commute: bumper stickers.

According to a study done by William Szlemko and Jacob Benfield of Colorado State University, the more bumper stickers a car has, the more its driver will be prone to road rage. This has to do with territoriality and how people use personal markers to mark their “territory.” Therefore drivers with more bumper stickers will see the segment of the road they are traveling on more as their personal space rather than space shared with others, and will become more aggressive if this space is encroached upon by another vehicle.

And it does not matter what the bumper stickers say, by the way.
